To love unconditionally and help those in need…

We seem to think that we only need to love people who don’t hurt or disappoint us. When someone we love does something wrong we think that they no longer deserve our love. We think that it is ok to shut someone out because they don’t meet our standards or expectations.

To love unconditionally does not mean that you need to put up with abuse, but it does mean that we need to forgive people for the wrongs they do and the mistakes they make.

So often we are actually able to help someone who has fallen and made mistakes, but instead we punish them and leave them all alone to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives.

Think twice before leaving someone to clean up their own mess, you may just be the help that they need. You do not need to do more than what you can handle, but you can certainly give them what you do have to offer!
